What materials are suitable for metal laser cutting machine


The birth of metal laser cutting machine is mainly to improve work efficiency and cutting accuracy. However, high precision is far from being achieved by human operation.

With the progress of society, more and more advanced technologies have been applied to the field of fame. For example, laser was a strange and mysterious thing for ordinary people in the last century. Now, with the continuous maturity of technology, laser has been applied to many industries. Today, we will discuss which materials are suitable for laser cutting machines.

Metal plate: Jiatai laser high-precision cutting and punching machine is mainly used for high-precision cutting and punching of stainless steel plate, iron plate, aluminum plate and copper plate in mobile phone, digital products, automobile, motorcycle and other industries.

1. Carbon steel plate cutting:

Jiatai laser cutting system can cut the large thickness of carbon steel plate close to 20mm, and the cutting seam of thin plate can be narrowed to about 0.1mm. Laser cutting low carbon steel has small heat affected zone, flat and smooth cutting, and good perpendicularity. For high carbon steel, the cutting quality of laser cutting is better than that of low carbon steel, but its heat affected zone is larger. The cutting depth of our jtlc series laser machine is 30mm.

2. Stainless steel cutting:

Laser cutting is easy to cut stainless steel sheet. With the high-power fiber laser cutting system, the thickness of stainless steel can reach 8mm. The small power fiber laser cutting system developed by us can cut stainless steel with a thickness of 4mm.

3. Alloy steel plate cutting:

Most alloy steels can be cut by laser with good edge cutting quality. However, tool steel and hot die steel with high tungsten content will have melting corrosion and slag sticking during laser cutting.

4. Aluminum and alloy plate cutting:

Aluminum cutting belongs to melting cutting. Adding auxiliary gas to blow away the melt in the cutting area can obtain better cutting quality. At present, the thickness of cut aluminum plate is 3mm.

5. Cutting of other metal materials:

Copper is not suitable for laser cutting. It is very thin. Most of titanium, titanium alloy and nickel alloy can be cut by laser.
